Sound familiar

Tables get booked in the middle of prep

  1. You receive deliveries and prep lunch while guests check the menu on their phones.

  2. Someone calls to ask whether you are open today, right in the middle of the rush before dinner.

  3. Friday was full, but Tuesday was almost empty. Again.

This is where the website and the heroes come in.

What guests check

What guests look for before they book a table

This is what the website has to answer when guests pick a place on their phone with the map open.

More guests

Marketing for restaurants once the website is in place

The website is the start. More guests arrive when you are visible on the map and in local search.

The heroes propose, and nothing is published until you approve it.

Questions and answers

Common questions about restaurant website design

The questions we get most often from restaurants and cafes.

How much does restaurant website design cost?

A landing page costs $1,000 at a fixed price and suits a single page with a menu, opening hours and table reservations. Website Start costs $3,000 and gives you up to 5 pages with their own design and Google Business Profile setup. Hosting, maintenance and the app are added from $200 a month, with a 12-month commitment and then 3 months' notice. All prices are excl. tax.

How long does it take to build a restaurant website?

A website is usually ready in 1 to 4 weeks from a signed quote. More languages or a connection to a reservation system can take longer, and you will know before we start. If you have the menu in a document and a few good photos ready, it goes quickly.

Can we update the website ourselves?

Yes, the website is built in WordPress, and you change the menu, prices, opening hours and events yourself without knowing how to code. You get training at launch and 30 days of free support. The maintenance agreement also includes some support hours each month for changes you do not have time for.

How does SEO for a restaurant work in Google Maps?

In Google Maps, things like distance, reviews, photos and whether the information in your Business Profile is accurate all count. In Website Start we set up the Business Profile with a category, opening hours and links to the menu and reservations. The website does the rest, with a clear address and text about what kind of place you are. Do reply to reviews, both good and bad.

Do we need professional food photos?

Not necessarily, but good photos are worth prioritizing. A couple of hours with a photographer on a quiet afternoon is enough, and many people get usable photos with a phone in daylight by a window. Include photos of the room, because guests want to see what it is like to sit there. We compress all the images, so the site opens fast on a phone.

Can we show the drinks menu and advertise it?

You can have the drinks menu on the website, but the rules for alcohol advertising and promotions differ from state to state and sometimes from city to city. So we set it up soberly, with names, a short description and prices, without enticing photos or special offers. The ads should be about the food, the place and the events. If you are unsure, your state alcohol regulator can tell you what is allowed.

Do we need the website in other languages too?

Yes, if you have many tourists or guests who speak another language, at least for the menu, opening hours and reservations. More languages are included in Website Plus, and for the other packages they can be added with the Multilingual website superpower at a fixed price per year. Locals seldom need it, so your location decides.
